Position Overview

As a Data Center Technician Foreman at Introl, you'll lead technical teams working at the forefront of AI and high-performance computing technology. You'll supervise the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of state-of-the-art GPU clusters and data center infrastructure that powers the future of artificial intelligence.

This role requires strong leadership skills, advanced technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence. You'll oversee teams working with cutting-edge technology in mission-critical environments where uptime and performance are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & GPU Infrastructure Management

  • Lead and supervise teams of data center technicians on large-scale GPU deployments
  • Coordinate deployment, configuration, and maintenance of GPU clusters and high-performance computing systems
  • Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and repair of GPU servers, networking equipment, and associated hardware
  • Manage hardware diagnostics and coordinate hundreds of thousands of fiber optic connections

Data Center Operations & Quality Control

  • Monitor and ensure optimal performance and availability of all deployed systems
  • Execute data center migrations from single racks to entire facility relocations
  • Conduct quality control checks on all installations and deployments
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and data center best practices

Technical Support & Problem Resolution

  • Lead teams providing remote hands support for urgent technical issues
  • Coordinate diagnosis and resolution of complex hardware and network connectivity problems
  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
  • Ensure precise hardware migrations and rack installations with zero downtime requirements

Safety & Documentation

  • Enforce strict safety protocols and maintain clean room standards with proper electrostatic discharge procedures
  • Document all work performed and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure team compliance with safety requirements
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and management

Required Qualifications

Technical Leadership

  • 5+ years of experience in data center operations, hardware deployment, or technical team leadership
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or foreman role managing technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure
  • Experience with GPU systems, high-performance computing, or AI infrastructure

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in data center operations including power, cooling, and environmental systems
  • Knowledge of fiber optic cabling, network infrastructure, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Experience with rack installations, hardware migrations, and system deployments
  • Understanding of electrostatic discharge procedures and clean room standards

Leadership & Communication

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Effective communication with technical teams, management, and clients
  • Experience with project coordination and resource management

General Requirements

  • Willingness to travel to various data center locations globally
  • Physical ability to work in data center environments and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and respond to urgent technical issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Experience with large-scale GPU cluster deployments
  • Knowledge of AI infrastructure, machine learning hardware, or HPC systems
  • Certifications in data center operations or networking
  • Experience with hyperscale data center environments
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
